PLEASE NOTE: This event is scheduled for the traditional MLK Day, January 21, 2013
Join the Pope Branch Park Restoration Alliance, the Sierra Club and partners for our 7th Annual Clean-up Of Pope Branch Park. The park surrounds a creek, a tributary to the Anacostia River, by the same name. Keep litter and debris from making its way into the river. Gloves, tools and refreshments will be provided.
We will gather at the park on the corner of Fairlawn Avenue & M Place, in southeast Washington, DC at 9:00 am and complete at noon.
In coming out on Inauguration Day, this will be an opportunity to celebrate the vision and spirit of President Obama and Dr. King.
